Hi, I'm Laura...

Spiritual Psychology Coach & Practitioner

While the circumstances of you finding me here likely stem from the pain of loving a child who experiences addiction, I am glad that you found've me here.

Together, we have the power to RISE and create true and lasting change.

The Story..

I’d like to share a bit about me and why I’m here, supporting other mothers with children navigating addiction.

First off, I’m a mom, just like you.

My own life has been a journey of deep healing, transformation, and self-discovery. I know firsthand the challenges of loving a child through addiction while trying to find a sense of peace within myself amidst the chaos. Along this path, I've learned what it means to hold space for my child without losing myself.

Now, I’m here to help other mothers find that same strength, guiding them to reclaim their inner peace so they can show up with love, resilience, and purpose.

From Struggle to Strength

The journey I’ve walked has been one marked by many challenges and woundings. As a child, I faced the effects of abuse, poverty, and trauma, leading to seperation and instability. I grew up in foster care, group homes, and other turbulent environments. Addiction to hard drugs became part of my story early on, and I lived with substance abuse for many years, searching for relief from the emotional weight I carried. I know all too well the isolation, confusion, shame, and pain that accompany these experiences.

Years later, I found myself witnessing one of my own children struggle with addiction.

For over a decade, I have navigated the heart-wrenching reality of loving a child through homelessness and addiction—feeling the profound helplessness that only those in our shoes can truly understand. In 2018, after a full mental breakdown triggered by my reactions to my son’s experience with addiction, compounded by my own lifelong mental health challenges - which I hadn’t yet fully addressed, I made a choice. Rather than being consumed by the chaos, I chose to use the experience as a catalyst for change and embark on my own healing journey, creating a space of peace, love, and hope—for myself, my children, and for anyone else I could reach as well.

The Path to Healing

Through a dedicated journey with spiritual practices and wholistic modalities, I began to heal deeply and rebuild my life. I immersed myself in Kundalini yoga, meditation, trauma healing, nervous system repair, and energy work—methods that reshaped my inner world.

I read literally hundreds of books, engaged in transformative workshops, and worked closely with coaches and therapists. Movement, nutrition, sacred spaces, and creative expression became essential tools—more than just practices, they became anchors to my well-being and strength.

This path not only healed me but ignited a purpose to guide other mothers on their own journeys.

The Education...

Along with my lifelong experience of navigating through trauma and addiction, my studies in multiple modalities have profoundly deepened my understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection and equipped me with tools to help mothers like you reconnect with your inner strength and wisdom. Alongside certifications in Spiritual Psychology, Trauma-Informed Coaching, Reiki, and Kundalini Yoga, I’ve also dedicated myself to studying Polyvagal Theory, Neuroscience, Epigenetics, Food as Medicine and more—allowing me to develop a wholistic healing framework that integrates body, mind, spirituality, and empowerment.

This unique blend of knowledge and training offers mothers a compassionate, spiritual and science-backed approach to healing. Each of these modalities provides specific tools for navigating the emotional turmoil of loving a child in addiction, supporting you in finding peace, self-compassion, and resilience. Whether it's learning to regulate your nervous system, releasing trauma stored in the body, or realigning with your core values, my education gives me the skills to guide you through a journey of true transformation. This integration of science and spirituality has become the foundation of my own recovery and the blueprint for the work I now share with others, empowering mothers to reclaim their lives and foster healthier relationships with themselves and their children.

I have poured my heart and soul into weaving together my experiences and education to create something that I truly feel can help other mothers like you to hold peace and hope - I invite you to book a free connection call to learn how this work could support you in your journey too.

The Mission of MoCEA - The Peace Project

The mission of The Peace Project is to help mothers reclaim their inner peace, even amidst the challenges of loving a child who experiences addiction. Through spiritual principles, compassionate support, and holistic practices, I empower women to reconnect with themselves, establish loving boundaries, and navigate life with hope and resilience.

I’ve come to believe that healing is not a destination—it’s a lifelong practice. It begins with shifting perspectives, dismantling shame, and embracing new ways of supporting ourselves and our children on their journeys. When mothers heal, they create a ripple effect—impacting their children, families, and communities in powerful ways.

Walking the Path Together

Through my work with The Peace Project, I offer a space for mothers to explore their own healing, embrace self-care, and step into their personal power. Whether through group programs, retreats or personal coaching, I guide women to clear trauma, break cycles, release guilt, and love without enabling—while finding peace within themselves.

My journey has taught me that we are all capable of transformation, no matter where we begin. Peace isn’t just a possibility— when we walk the path together, it's a probability.

And I am here to walk alongside you on this path, supporting you every step of the way.
