Hi, I'm Laura...
Spiritual Psychology Coach & Practitioner
While the circumstances of you finding me here likely stem from the pain of loving a child who experiences addiction, I am glad that you found've me here.
Together, we have the power to RISE and create true and lasting change.

The Story..
First off, I’m a mom, just like you.
My own life has been a journey of deep healing, transformation, and self-discovery. I know firsthand the challenges of loving a child through addiction while trying to find a sense of peace within myself amidst the chaos. Along this path, I've learned what it means to hold space for my child without losing myself.
Now, I’m here to help other mothers find that same strength, guiding them to reclaim their inner peace so they can show up with love, resilience, and purpose.
The Path to Peace
I never imagined I could feel this kind of peace…
To wake up without bracing for the next crisis.
To look at my son—not with fear—but with grounded hope.
To breathe again... and actually feel the breath land in my body.
But not long ago, I was drowning.
I was a child of trauma myself—raised in foster care, surrounded by instability, addiction, and pain I didn’t have the tools to process. I turned to hard drugs early, searching for a way out of the heaviness I carried in my bones. I lived that life for years… until I slowly began to climb out.
But nothing prepared me for the heartbreak of watching my own son walk the same path.
His addiction brought me to my knees.
For over a decade, I tried everything to help him. I begged. I over-gave. I spiraled into guilt, shame, and unbearable fear. And in 2018, I broke. Fully. A complete mental and emotional collapse. I couldn’t live in reaction anymore—I knew something had to change.
That was the turning point.
I didn’t “get stronger.”
I didn’t find a quick fix.
I chose to heal.
I went inward, facing every shadow I’d spent my life avoiding. I studied trauma, the nervous system, addiction, and spirituality. I devoted myself to learning how to hold space for myself first—how to process my emotions, regulate my nervous system, and set loving boundaries without shame.
The emotions were raw—grief, rage, fear, sorrow—but something beautiful started to happen.
I found myself.
And in doing so, I found my son—not as someone to save, but as someone to love without losing myself.
Now, I know what it means to live with peace in the chaos.
To hold hope without control.
To trust my path, even if his looks different.
To choose presence, compassion, and strength—over and over again.
This is the work I now offer mothers like you.
Because peace isn’t about pretending everything’s okay.
It’s about healing so deeply that no matter what’s happening around you…
You know you’ll be okay.
And that changes everything.

The Healing Work
Through a dedicated journey with spiritual practices and wholistic modalities, I began to heal deeply and rebuild my life. I immersed myself in Kundalini yoga, meditation, trauma healing, nervous system repair, and energy work—methods that reshaped my inner world.
I read literally hundreds of books, engaged in transformative workshops, and worked closely with coaches and therapists. Movement, nutrition, sacred spaces, and creative expression became essential tools—more than just practices, they became anchors to my well-being and strength.
This path not only healed me but ignited a purpose to guide other mothers on their journeys too.

The Mission of MoCEA - The Peace Project
The mission of The Peace Project is to help mothers reclaim their inner peace, even amidst the challenges of loving a child who experiences addiction. Through spiritual principles, compassionate support, and holistic practices, I empower women to reconnect with themselves, establish loving boundaries, and navigate life with hope and resilience.
I’ve come to believe that healing is not a destination—it’s a lifelong practice. It begins with shifting perspectives, dismantling shame, and embracing new ways of supporting ourselves and our children on their journeys. When mothers heal, they create a ripple effect—impacting their children, families, and communities in powerful ways.
Walking the Path Together
Through my work with The Peace Project, I offer a space for mothers to explore their own healing, embrace self-care, and step into their personal power. Whether through group programs, retreats or personal coaching, I guide women to clear trauma, break cycles, release guilt, and love without enabling—while finding peace within themselves.
My journey has taught me that we are all capable of transformation, no matter where we begin. Peace isn’t just a possibility— when we walk the path together, it's a probability.
And I am here to walk alongside you on this path, supporting you every step of the way.
